This is a plate with a twin fish design, one of Rosanjin's most famous works. This design of two contrasting fishes is often seen on earthenware, bronze ware and ceramics since the Neolithic period in China. This is a popular product which depicts the twin fishes in imposing Kutani green, which is typical of Rosanjin's style. The fish lays many eggs and is considered a symbol of prosperity.
