Imaizumi Imaemon XIV is a living national treasure who holds the Important Intangible Cultural Property of "colored porcelain". "Sumihaji" is a technique for removing white ink, which has been used since the Edo period. Imaizumi developed this technique and invented the "Sekka Sumihaji" technique. Please enjoy the techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation, the elegance of modern-day Nabeshima, the warmth of the handiwork, and the world of beauty created by Imaemon XIV.
