Kakiemon kiln developed the first Akae technique in Japan, and is a traditional pottery that carries on the Kakiemon style to the present day. One of the major characteristics of the works is a soft, warm, milky white ground called "Nigoshide". All of the Kakiemon works have delicate and gorgeous colors. The Kakiemon kiln shows a new development for the next generation while inheriting the technique handed down from the Edo period.
